Arts & Education Classes
Registration is ongoing!
To register for classes, please download a Program_Registration_Form and select one of the following:
- Email the form to fafcreg@gmu.edu.
- Fax the form to 703-993-9177.
- Mail the form to 10900 University Blvd, MSN 5F6, Manassas VA 20110.
- Call the Customer Service Desk, at 703-993-8513, during Center operating hours.
- Visit the Center and register at the Customer Service Desk.
All Freedom Aquatic & Fitness Center programs require registration in advance.
Babysitters Course (Ages 11-15)
Be the best babysitter on the block! This American Red Cross course is fun and fast-paced with hands on activities, role-plays and lively discussions. Participants will learn to care for children and infants, be good leaders and role models, problem solve, handle household emergencies and illnesses, and write resumes and prepare for job interviews. Participants will also take home several training materials to review.

American Red Cross Infant/Child CPR (Ages 12 & up)
The American Red Cross program teaches the knowledge and the skills to recognize and respond to breathing, choking and cardiac emergencies involving infants and children. Participants will take home several training materials to review. Highly recommended for participants who have previously attended the Babysitters Course.

Preschool Prep (Ages – Birthday between Aug 2009 – Aug 2012)
This class is an excellent program to help young children prepare for preschool. In this small classroom setting, children engage in circle time activities, story time, and complete crafts daily. We work on basic preschool readiness skills, such as letter, number, color and shape identification. As well as social skills, sharing and taking turns. Children must be able to separate from parent. Potty training not required.

Wonderful Wednesdays (Ages 2-5)

Join us each Wednesday for a themed class that includes a story, activities and crafts! Caregiver participation required.

| May 1 – AN UN-BIRTHDAY PARTY |
It may not be your birthday, but we always have a reason to celebrate. Join us for birthday party themed crafts and activities kids will love! |
| May 8 – ERIC CARLE BOOKS |
Kids love the book “The Very Hungry Caterpillar” so join us for this and other favorites by Eric Carle and make crafts to go with them. |
| May 15 – PIRATES | Ahoy there! Bring your pirates to class for crafts and fun! |
| May 22 – CAMPING | Bring your little ones in their pajamas as we pretend to be on a camping trip, read stories, make crafts and “catch fireflies”. |
| May 29 – BUGS, BUGS, BUGS | Come learn about the many insects that live in your backyard and create beautiful buggy art projects! |
Fabulous Fridays (Ages 2-5)
Join us once a month for a themes class that includes a story, activities and crafts. Caregiver participation required.

| May 10- MOTHER’S DAY | Kids will love making beautiful projects to give to the special people in their lives – Moms, Grandmas or Aunts! All are welcome! |
| Jun 7 – FATHER’S DAY | Kids will love creating projects for the special people in their lives – Dads, Grandpas and Uncles! All are welcome! |
Summer Time Fun (Ages 3-5)
Come join us for a fun afternoon of themed activities. Participants need to be able to easily separate from parent. Children must be registered by 10:00pm on the Monday before the event.
