Personal Motivations to Exercise & Personal Fitness Program

I continue to motivate my own personal training by choosing a new goal every year. Last year I set a goal to compete in fitness competitions and I did it!  This year I may aim for triathlons! Just a new challenge to focus on keeps me moving!

Favorite Fitness Activity

I love to play soccer, spin, run and do just about anything outdoors.  Any competitive activity always sparks my energy zone!

Hobbies/Interests

I am a long time soccer player/coach. I love to learn new things about fitness and keep my training fresh.  My favorite thing to do is watch my kids play sports!  I love to see them active.

Exercise Philosophy/why exercise is important

My fitness philosophy begins with total fitness and believing in a positive, complete, healthy lifestyle. Fitness is not just a slim waistline and toned muscles but: strong healthy heart and lungs, flexible muscles that allow a full and stable range of motion, muscular endurance to perform tasks over a long period of time, muscular strength to cope with heavy loads and core stability to support our posture and alignment. Our bodies require a variety of training approaches for it to gain all of these attributes and get the most out of life. Ultimately, when a person is in great physical shape they feel upbeat, more efficient, and have the ability to more effectively handle life’s up and downs.
